If you’re completely clueless when it comes to makeup, you can use them as a jumping off point. If you’re a makeup addict who shouldn’t be allowed anywhere near a Sephora, you’ll be able to incorporate them into your current makeup routine. Either way, you’re guaranteed to learn something you can use every day.

Is this one of those things where I'm going to feel obligated to buy something?

Absolutely not! Meredith doesn’t represent a specific brand or make a profit selling makeup. She is not brand loyal but she is a brand expert and will only suggest products she thinks will work for you and that you will actually use. There is absolutely no sales pitch at an About Face workshop— brushes are available for purchase but there is no pressure to buy them.

What do I need to bring?

You should bring your current every day makeup and any products you’re unsure of how to use, along with any questions you may have. There is NO JUDGEMENT when it comes to sharing your makeup bag. Meredith is very open to hearing what you are comfortable using and will not try to change your personal style. She wants you to look like the best version of yourself—not like you’re trying to look like someone else. She may suggest a different order or method of application if you would like to stick with what you are currently using.

Should I come makeup free?

No. Come wearing the makeup you would normally wear for a night out.

I'm terrible at makeup/I hardly wear any makeup. Is this for me?

This is perfect for you. You’ll learn about just a couple of products that are easy to apply and that will make a big difference. Meredith will make sure you leave with tips that are appropriate for your lifestyle and that will compliment your personal style.

I’m a makeup addict and pretty confident in my skills. Is this for me?

Absolutely! There is always room for improvement and this is your chance to learn inside tricks from a professional makeup artist. An About Face party is right up your alley!

Will you come to my home?

Yes! Meredith will come wherever you are hosting the party.

What do I need for set up?

A space with good lighting is best. If it’s an evening party, the room with the most light where guests can fit comfortably is your best bet. Meredith can bring a light, makeup chair, table, etc. You may want to have some makeup wipes or eye makeup remover, q-tips, and tissues on hand.

How many people can I invite?

If you choose a workshop that includes private mini-consultations the maximum number of people is 10. If you’re just looking for a demo and open conversation party, the more the merrier!

What do I go home with?

You’re encouraged to take notes during the workshop. Create a shopping list of featured products that interest you, jot down tips on application, take note of Meredith’s dos and don’ts. Trust us—so much information will be coming your way, you’ll be glad you wrote it down! Most importantly, you will go home with knowledge and new skills that you can implement into your morning or going-out routine the very next day and every day moving forward. With knowledge and skill comes CONFIDENCE!
